EU Pledges €46M to Boost Social Protection in Nigeria

ABUJA The European Union in Nigeria has provided a donation of €46 million to support the "Sustainable Social Protection System in Nigeria" program.

As per the communication from UN Secretary-General António Guterres to member states on March 12, 2025, Vietnam submitted to him on March 7, 2025, under Article 16, clause 2 of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), charts depicting both the straight baselines and the external boundaries of its territorial waters. Additionally, Vietnam provided a compilation of geographical coordinate points used for determining the base lines from which the width of the territorial seas off mainland Vietnam in the Gulf of Tonkin is measured.

UNRWA's Collapse Threatens a Generation of Palestinian Children, Warns Commissioner-General

Gaza City [Palestine], March 15 (ANI/WAM): The Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated recently: UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini cautioned that the collapse of the organization would leave an entire generation of Palestinian children without education.

In a press statement, Lazzarini said that there is a "real risk of the agency collapsing and imploding" if its severe financial crisis persists.

He added that if UNRWA collapses, "we will undoubtedly sacrifice a generation of children who will lack adequate schooling."
