New Delhi [India], April 6 (ANI): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ( DMRC ) has introduced a pod-style hotel called 'صندVMLINUX صندصند The Metrostay ' within the New Delhi Metro Station. It offers commuters and travelers an affordable and convenient lodging option.
At a price point beginning at merely Rs 400, this facility aims to cater specifically to individuals who are in transit, particularly those utilizing the adjacent Airport Express Line. New Delhi Railway Station.
The Metrostay provides comfortable bunk beds in bright, spotless dormitory-style accommodations. Every visitor gets access to an individual digital locker for safekeeping their possessions. A specialized co-working zone is provided for business travelers who are constantly on the go. Additionally, the premises feature a game section equipped with indoor diversions such as carrom, along with a small theater where residents can watch films and follow live broadcasts.
To guarantee security and comfort for everyone, particularly female guests, the Metrostay offers distinct dorms and restrooms designed specifically for women.
Regarding the establishment, Altamash, who manages Metrostay, mentioned, “The pod hotel began operations in January with approximately 150 dormitory beds. Guests can reserve their spots via Goibibo or opt for walk-ins. The property includes various amenities such as a theater, relaxation area, and gaming section. Additionally, we provide distinct dorms and restroom facilities specifically designed for women. At present, we’re developing private rooms which should launch shortly.”
The concept has received a warm response from guests. Sachin, a frequent visitor to Delhi, shared his experience: "I come to Delhi frequently and usually stay at different homestays. I recently found out about this place--Metrostay is the best dormitory stay I've experienced so far. There's a lot of open space here, and from a technology standpoint, they have self-check-in through the phone. There's an open theatre where you can watch cricket or enjoy other entertainment and a co-working space for your official work. The rates are very affordable considering the facilities provided."
Another guest, Adarsh Kumar, a lawyer by profession, said, "I often have to come to Delhi for court-related work, and I used to stay at relatives' or friends' places, which was sometimes inconvenient. But this pod hotel has made things much more convenient. The management here is very good. It's clean and well-maintained despite being low-cost. Each room has 6-8 beds, along with useful features like a water bottle holder and a mobile charging stand. I would rate it 8 to 9 out of 10. We can also enjoy indoor games here."
