During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, while publicizing his upcoming film "Zootopia 2," scheduled for release on November 26, 2025, Ke Huy Quan provided some fresh information about The Goonies Sequel. Ke Huy Quan portrayed Data in the first film. As of now, it has not been confirmed whether he will return as an older iteration of his character from the earlier movie.
He mentioned that the sequel aims to stay faithful to the original movie, with the same crew returning for production.
