WAUWATOSA, Wis. - A woman lost her life when she was hit by a train in Wauwatosa on Wednesday, April 9.
What we knowThe Wauwatosa Police Department reported that the incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m., close to 114th and Burleigh. When they arrived, officers found the individual situated on the western side of the railway lines, positioned above Home Goods.

The Wauwatosa Fire Department tried life-saving procedures, however, the 67-year-old woman was declared dead at the location.

The police mentioned that the woman was crossing the tracks from east to west when the train approached and she got hit. They considered this to be a non-criminal occurrence.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office went to the location.
