A frightening event occurred at a Virginia elementary school when a loaded firearm went off accidently inside a student's backpack, resulting in the arrest of two parents. The incident took place around 11 a.m. at Lee Hills Elementary School, causing alarm but fortunately resulted in no injuries.
The individuals identified as Ciara Armstead, aged 36, andTerrance Carroll Jr., aged 34, were taken into custody on allegations of child endangerment and permitting a minor to have contact with weapons, according to a statement from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office released to media and reported by them.

According to investigators, the child discovered an unprotected weapon at their residence and put it in their backpack prior to heading to class. When they accessed their bag during class time to retrieve something else, they accidentally triggered the firearm, officials disclosed.
