PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD – Authorities have charged a man from Alexandria with attempting to commit murder along with additional charges following a road rage incident involving gunfire in Prince George's County, Maryland earlier this week.
The Maryland State Police reported that the incident occurred on Thursday, April 3, in the region near Route 5 and Burch Hill Road in Brandywine. According to law enforcement officials, a person driving a black 2023 Ford Explorer with license plates from Michigan discharged a firearm at another car involved in the event. Fortunately, nobody sustained injuries during this occurrence.
In the course of the investigation, law enforcement officials executed search warrants at both the suspect's residence and their vehicle. They discovered two firearms with ammunition as well as drugs during these searches.
Marco Williams, aged 46 from Alexandria, was apprehended in Fairfax County on Wednesday by a U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and the Maryland State Apprehension Team. The charges against him include attempted first-degree murder, felonious assault, firearm violations, and further counts. Williams is currently awaiting extradition back to Maryland.

The Maryland State Police got help from the Fairfax County Police Department and the Virginia State Police during the investigation.
