CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – According to the Charleston Police Department, a probe into prostitution resulted in several charges being filed against a man from Summerville.
Johnathan Ahmad Dais, aged 33, faces charges including assault and battery with significant aggravation, human trafficking for his first offense, and prostitution for his second offense, as per official jail documents.
The police indicated that the inquiry centered around the West Ashley region, where they believe Dais took advantage of and forced the victim into engaging in prostitution activities.

"The victim stated that Dais had previously choked and hit them so badly that they were terrified for their life," according to a statement from the police.

By Friday morning, Dais was being detained at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
