Summerville Man Arrested in West Ashley Prostitution Sting: CPD Charges Human Trafficking

A man from Summerville is now charged with human trafficking following an inquiry into prostitution within the West Ashley region, according to an announcement made by the Charleston Police Department on Friday.

Johnathan Ahmad Dais, aged 33 from Summerville, faced charges including assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, first-time human trafficking offenses, and second-offense prostitution, according to law enforcement officials.

The officers initiated the investigation on Wednesday and have accused Dais of compelling someone into prostitution as well as benefiting economically from these activities. According to authorities, a victim informed them that Dais had previously choked and hit them, instilling a profound sense of dread for their safety.
