PSP Harrisburg offering reward for information on cold case

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– Pennsylvania State Police in Harrisburg are offering a $5,000 reward for information that solves the cold case of a missing man who was last seen in Dauphin County in the 1970s.

Randall Brosius from Valley View, Pennsylvania, vanished at the age of 22. According to state police reports, he was last spotted heading east on Route 209 in Williamstown, Dauphin County, accompanied by two individuals: Kenneth H. Lenker and Richard Green, both from Florida.

The State Police indicated that the three individuals had recently departed from the parking area of Mace’s Blue Fountain Motel. During Christmastime in 1976, Brosius’s parents reportedly got telephone calls requesting they pay $500 for details regarding their son’s involvement in a significant marijuana operation.

The person who called supposedly vowed to remove portions of their child’s body unless they got the ransom money. The parents traveled to a designated spot in Williamstown for the meet-up, yet the caller failed to appear.

The two individuals who were with Brosius during his final sighting were never detained by law enforcement in relation to his disappearance. According to Brosius’s mother, her son recognized these men but did not view them as close acquaintances.

Police said Brosius was wearing a black Navy peacoat, jeans, and black boots when he was last seen. He stood 5’6 with brown hair, blue eyes, and a mustache, and he had a limp due to a past leg injury.

Police added that he was dependent on insulin due to his diabetes but didn’t have any on him at the time of his disappearance.
