Kathan Guzman was expected to serve a life sentence in prison for murdering his 19-year-old girlfriend Delila Grayson in Georgia back in 2022.
Both individuals went to high school at Poinciana High School in Kissimmee, and investigators think Guzman has returned to Florida.

Guzman, found guilty of choking Grayson, was held at the Clayton County Jail in Georgia awaiting transfer to prison where he would start serving his life term.
Yet, merely months following his conviction, Grayson got out of jail. .
The Clayton County Sheriff informed Action News Jax’s Atlanta affiliate, WSB-TV, stating that both inadequate training and lack of attentiveness contributed to Guzman’s inadvertent release.
Levon Allen, the sheriff of Clayton County, mentioned that his team reviewed a court document indicating a motion for nolle prosequi, which means they decided against prosecution.
The sheriff stated that if they had investigated further, they would have discovered a charge of necrophilia was not pursued, and the jury found Guzman guilty of felony murder and aggravated assault.

'I feel vulnerable as a target'
Christina Grayson, Delilah’s mother, isn't accepting Clayton County's explanations. She stated that the details don't match up.
Five months following Guzman’s sentencing to 30 years to life behind bars, she highlights that he was still held in a Georgia county jail rather than being transferred to a state prison.
She informed Action News Jax’s Orlando affiliate, WFTV9, that accountability should be enforced.
"I don't believe an apology will suffice at this point. I'm weary of hearing 'I'm sorry.' What I really want is a concrete response," stated Christina Grayson.

Christina Grayson mentioned that Osceola County deputies are currently patrolling her neighborhood as they keep searching for Guzman.
In the meantime, her family members take turns sleeping and keep a gun nearby due to their concerns that Guzmán might seek retaliation for their involvement in his trial.
I feel as though I'm an easy target," Grayson stated, "Making an error by allowing a killer to go free shouldn't be an option. Either someone should step down or someone ought to lose their job.
Grayson stated that Kathan Guzman is an experienced MMA fighter and wouldn't require a weapon to lethal effect.

He was found guilty of choking Delila Grayson during a dispute when she attempted to terminate her three-year association with Guzman.
Christina Grayson expresses concerns over the community’s general safety, stating that Guzman poses a danger.
The Orange County Sheriff’s department stated that their investigative team was informed about the case and keeping an eye on the circumstances.
