Authorities stated that police apprehended a female suspect in relation to an alleged sexual assault against another woman in Barstow earlier this week. It was later discovered that she was also believed to be responsible for a comparable offense involving a minor about a year prior.
Dominiqueca Nicole Sapp, aged 31, was taken into custody just after 11 p.m. on Monday at an apartment complex located in the 700 block of East Virginia Way, as per San Bernardino County jail records.
She is facing a felony charge for sexually penetrating someone without their consent through the use of force or coercion. Additionally, she has been charged with misdemeanor offenses including sexual battery and annoying or molesting a child, according to documents from the San Bernardino County Superior Court.
The Barstow Police Department reported that law enforcement was alerted to the supposed assault around 10:15 p.m. on Monday by employees at Barstow Community Hospital.
Police stated that officers spoke with a 19-year-old woman who reported that Sapp had sexually assaulted her after she invited him into her apartment to get out of the cold. written statement .
The statement indicated that Barstow Police Department’s Detective Andrew Hollister gathered evidence corroborating the victim's account. It added, “Furthermore, Hollister identified a second victim, a minor, who described an analogous interaction with Sapp roughly twelve months prior.”
The authorities mentioned that they were looking for two more suspects in relation to the case.
