Michael Gove is set to become a peer leading a procession of former Tory ministers and MPs joining the House of Lords.
Mr Gove, who left the Commons during the election, was appointed as a peer in Rishi Sunak His resignation honors, which were confirmed today.
He will be accompanied by several Conservative Party Members of Parliament who lost their positions in the election, including Hark Harper. Simon Hart and Victoria Prentis.
Mr Sunak also presented a knighthood to him. James Anderson , the renowned English quick bowler who hung up his boots this year as the nation's top wicket-taker.
There were additionally knighthoods awarded to others. Tories including ex-Chancellor Jeremy Hunt and Mel Stride , the present shadow chancellor.
