Discount Store Recalls Potentially Deadly Lamps: Stay Safe!

A urgent recall has been announced for "possibly lethal" table lamps that were sold at a newly opened discount store. Melbourne's south-east.

EnergySafe Victoria has issued an alert following inspections by their compliance officers who found exposed wiring in the lanterns sold at Panda Mart located in Cranbourne.

The chief executive, Leanne Hughson, stated that the lamps pose a risk of electric shock or fatal electrocution if they are touched while lit.

"We urge all customers who have purchased a table lamp from the Panda Mart store in Cranbourne to discontinue use right away," stated Hughson.

The store offers a wide range of items, from home accessories to sporting goods and cosmetics.
