iPhone users can now use the newest version of Shazam to recognize music via the iOS control center and immediately add those tracks to their playlists. Spotify or Apple Music.

In the update notes, Shazam states: "We've improved song synchronization with Apple Music and Spotify even further!"

Shazam will now add tracks identified through Music Recognition in Control Centre, Siri, and Shortcuts to your "My Shazam Tracks" playlists in either Apple Music or Spotify.

This indicates that you won't have to launch the Shazam application just to save a song to your device.

Activating this feature for your own use is just a matter of enabling one easily accessible option.

Shazam is an application for identifying music tracks. which Apple acquired in 2018 and enables users to discover the title and performer of any song they can listen to.

Users can connect their Spotify or Apple Music accounts to the application, allowing any recognized songs to be automatically added to a playlist.

Following the iOS 14.2 update in 2020, Smartphone users can now find Shazam readily available within the control center.

Nevertheless, tracks recognized via the Control Centre weren't automatically included in the My Shazam Playlist; they needed to be saved manually using the Shazam app.

Shazam Version 18.9, which was rolled out on March 5, resolves this problem, ensuring that tunes captured using the iPhone’s 'Identify Music' function within the control center get appended to your playlist automatically.

This provides iPhone users with an even faster and simpler method for recognizing and storing music.

How to utilize the latest addition

  1. In Shazam, navigate to the settings menu and link it with your preferred music application.
  2. Enable 'Sync your music'.

  4. Tapping this icon will cause identified tracks to be automatically added to your Spotify or Apple Music playlist.

You can confirm its activation when the icons begin to blink and the 'Add a Control' option shows up at the bottom of your screen.

Click on 'Add a Control' and look up 'recognize music'. Once found, move it to your desired location within the Control Centre.

After setting that up, you must enable syncing within the Shazam application itself.

Launch the application and scroll upwards to reach the home screen, then tap on the gear-shaped settings icon located in the upper left section of the screen.

If you haven’t yet linked Shazam with your preferred music streaming platform, you will now be able to choose ‘Connect’ beside either Spotify or Apple Music.

Once the applications are linked, you'll find an option labeled ‘Sync your songs’ within the app; just activate this feature to ensure your playlist updates automatically.

Shazam states: "Just switch off and then turn back on the option labeled ‘Sync your songs’ within the Shazam settings to re-synchronize all of your previously identified tracks through the Shazam application."
