
Tanakpur (Uttarakhand), India, March 15 (ANI): The Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the famous Maa Purnagiri Mela In 2025, North India will be visited on a Saturday during an event held at Thuligad in Tanakpur, as stated in a press release.
He inclined his head towards Maa Purnagiri and prayed for the welfare, advancement, and tranquility of the state.
While doing so, the Chief Minister declared plans for establishing a new facility or initiative. smart control room And a CCTV surveillance system at Thuligad for managing crowds and responding to disasters throughout the entire Purnagiri fair area.
A versatile administrative structure will be constructed in Selagarh for the Purnagiri Fair.
The event would assist the magistrate, officer, police personnel, and medical professionals in collaborating at a single location.
The Purnagiri water-pumping project for potable water supply will take place in Ladigad within the Purnagiri region. Additionally, the Thuligad and Babligad pumping initiatives will also be carried out in the same area. According to him, these developments have the potential to advance the progress of this region.
The Chief Minister referred to Uttarakhand as the land of deities, emphasizing that spirituality permeates every element of the state. He highlighted that Maa Purnagiri Dham serves as the principal spiritual site in Uttarakhand.
He added that he encourages others to visit Maa Purnagiri for a spiritual journey. Following the Kumbh and Kanwar Yatras, this place sees the highest influx of pilgrims at Maa Purnagiri Dham.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the state government is dedicated to organizing the event all year round, with ongoing development of permanent structures at Purnagiri Dham. Over the next few years, this location will be enhanced and better organized, ensuring that pilgrims have improved amenities.
Encouraging pilgrims to explore other sacred sites in Champawat, the Chief Minister emphasized that alongside genuine piety towards divinity, one ought to embrace the spiritual essence of the pilgrimage itself. The state administration remains committed to enhancing Maa Purnagiri Dham’s infrastructure and aims to transform it into a significant spiritual and touristic hub in the future.
Permission has been granted to expand the number of multi-level parking spots from 11 to 13 in Champawat, aiding better traffic control. As stated in an official announcement, ISBT is currently under construction in Tanakpur with a budget exceeding Rs 200 crores.
As part of the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, prominent temples in Kumaon will undergo enhancement, with their access routes being expanded. This improvement aims to offer greater ease for pilgrims traveling to these sites.
Moreover, the Chief Minister stated that extra efforts are underway to enhance the communication systems in the Purnagiri region.
Construction of the ropeway was underway at Maa Purnagiri Dham, promising a seamless travel experience for visitors.
He mentioned that a distinctive tourism route was being created by linking all the significant religious and tourist sites surrounding Purnagiri Dham.
In order for this circuit to succeed, the state government was particularly focused on enhancing road connections, communication networks, tourism amenities, and overall infrastructure within the district.
The project intends to facilitate travel to Maa Purnagiri Dham and enhance tourism within the Champawat district. Once built, it will draw pilgrims and visitors all year round.
The Chief Minister stated that this route will play a crucial role in positioning Uttarakhand as a prominent international hub for spirituality and travel. The administration is entirely dedicated to this initiative, with plans to commence its execution shortly.
He mentioned that efforts are underway to transform Champawat into a developed and prominent district across various sectors. Significant progress is being made in improving infrastructure and educational facilities. The campus of Soban Singh Jeena University has begun operations in Champawat. Additionally, renovations are taking place at all the district’s schools and colleges.
The Chief Minister mentioned that a science center costing Rs 55 crore is under construction in Champawat. It aims to motivate all students to explore knowledge, science, technology, and innovation. Additionally, efforts are underway to establish a women’s sports college in Champawat.
The newly built Polytechnic College was finished with an investment of 16 crores. In addition, a 50-bed intensive care unit is under development for the district hospital at a price tag of 20 crores, alongside another 50-bed facility dedicated to Ayurveda treatments set up in Tanakpur costing 15 crores. Additionally, the construction project for the Integrated Nursing Institute reached completion at a total expense of 28 crores.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government was actively engaged in bolstering infrastructure in Champawat, fostering tourism growth, and enhancing job prospects via their policies and choices.
He mentioned that in the next 25 years, the number of devotees visiting Maa Purnagiri Dham will be significantly higher compared to present numbers. With this timeline in consideration, efforts are underway to develop all necessary infrastructure.
The Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has committed to developing India by 2047. Rafting will certainly gain momentum through national sports events held in Tanakpur. Numerous individuals both within the nation and internationally are expected to visit this location for rafting activities.
The CM further mentioned that Rs 5 crore has been approved for the development of Shyamlatal Lake. Efforts are also underway to transform this region into a popular venue for weddings. (ANI)
