In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump stated, “General Kellogg, a highly respected military expert, will now be solely responsible for liaising directly with President Volodymyv Zelensky and other Ukrainian leaders... They share an excellent rapport due to their strong professional connection." The businessman also served as a U.S. Middle East envoy. Steve Witkoff , who had previously stated that Russia was "provoked" into attacking Ukraine, is now regarded as the central figure in negotiations with Putin.
