
Washington [US], March 15 (ANI): Disney+ has formally extended 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' for a third season well before the eagerly awaited second season debut.
As reported by Variety, the new season will draw inspiration from Rick Riordan's book 'The Titan's Curse,' continuing Percy's journey into its subsequent phase.
Disney Branded Television along with 20th Television has announced their dedication to growing the popular fantasy series.
Season 2, having completed filming in Vancouver, is set to launch in December 2025; however, a specific release date has not been revealed as of now.
Ayo Davis, who leads Disney Branded Television, showed excitement about the show's achievements.
The instant "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" launched, it became evident that the series resonated deeply with audiences across different age groups. As reported by Variety, an excited announcement came forth stating that following the release of Season 2 this December, the adventures of Percy will extend into a third season.

This renewal was expected due to the impressive performance of the initial season.
Variety reported that "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" ranked within the top five of the most-viewed original streaming series when it premiered in December 2023.
Furthermore, Disney announced that the initial episode garnered 13.3 million views across Disney+ and Hulu in just the first six days of its release.
In Season 2, viewers can look forward to seeing Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer reprising their main characters.
The series, developed jointly by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, is overseen by executive producers Dan Shotz, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler, and Sarah Watson. (ANI)
