Teen Faces Murder Charges After Deadly Shooting of Two Men in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Charges have been brought against an 18-year-old following a shooting incident on Saturday that resulted in the deaths of two men.

The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department announced that 18-year-old Kenneth Flowers faces charges for five felony offenses, which include two counts of first-degree murder following a shooting on Saturday, April 5. This incident resulted in the deaths of 19-year-old Javon Brown and 20-year-old Delorean Jackson.

The additional charges against Flowers encompassed aggravated assault, firing a weapon in public, and damaging someone else's property.

He's being detained at the Wyandotte County Jail with a bond set at $200,000.

The incident occurred on Saturday in the 800 block of North 70th Street, close to the College Park Townhomes neighborhood, situated just below the KCK Community College campus.

The KCKPD stated that 56-year-old David Stephens has been additionally charged with felony distribution of marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with this case. Currently, he is detained at the Wyandotte County Jail with a bond set at $75,000.
