Suspect Arrested in Appletown Warehouse Burglary Case

APPLETON (WLUK) -- Authorities apprehended the suspect involved in an overnight break-in at an Appleton warehouse with assistance from drone and canine units.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday, police were called to a ongoing burglary at a sizable warehouse on the 600 block of East Hancock Street.

Several law enforcement officers set up a cordon around the large building and were later supported by canine teams from both the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and the Grand Chute Police Department, along with an aerial unit. Additionally, personnel from the Appleton Fire Department’s Tactical Emergency Medical Support arrived to provide assistance.

Following an extensive search, authorities found the suspect, a 62-year-old man, who was then arrested.

He was transported to the Outagamie County Jail facing suggested charges including burglary, possessing burglary equipment, having methamphetamine, and a probation hold.
