The Chicago police have released footage showing two individuals who are sought in relation to a crime. Armed robbery occurred at a South Shore convenience store in the previous year. .
The surveillance video captures the individuals within the Family Dollar located on the 2300 block of East 79th Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. on November 12.
The police mentioned that three men, their faces covered, entered the establishment. One of these individuals brandished a gun and assaulted a security guard with it.
After the trio abandoned their criminal activity, someone from outside intervened by drawing a pistol and firing rounds, striking one of the criminals—a 60-year-old male. Following this incident, both the individual who shot and the remaining two unidentified perpetrators escaped the scene.
The individual, aged 60, was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center in a critically severe state after being shot in the chest. Authorities found a gun on his person, and he has been apprehended.
Initially, one of the suspects being searched for had on a white and blue New York Yankees letterman jacket paired with gray trousers and brown footwear. The second suspect was sporting a dark winter hat along with a face covering, a dark jacket featuring the "Jordan" brand, dark pants, and multicolored athletic sneakers.
