(FOX40.com) — On February 1, 2025, the Sacramento Police Department attended to a felony hit-and-run accident in the Natomas area.

Based on information from SPD, the accident occurred close to Club Center Driver and Natomas Boulevard. Police stated that the victim suffered bodily injuries due to the collision. It was also reported that the second driver left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
The SPD mentioned that this matter was handed over to investigators from their Major Collision Investigation Unit, who promptly began pursuing various leads. Following an extensive inquiry, they managed to pinpoint both the alleged vehicle involved and the individual suspected of being behind the incident.
Officials mentioned that law enforcement was successful in securing a felony warrant for the hit-and-run incident that led to lasting injuries.
On Wednesday, SPD announced that detectives had apprehended a 31-year-old individual from Sacramento, who was subsequently taken into custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
The SPD stated, "This arrest highlights the steadfast commitment of the officers at the Sacramento Police Department in ensuring accountability for individuals who harm our community."
