Pierce Brosnan's Elusive Granddaughter Makes Rare Public Appearance: Meet Isabella Smith

In 1986, after Smith's grandfather died, Brosnan took on the role of Charlotte's stepson when she became his mother. Later, Charlotte embarked on her own acting journey. Unfortunately, both Smith’s grandmother and mother succumbed to cancer.

Pierce Brosnan lately went to the MobLand post-premiere celebration in London with fellow cast members Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy He was accompanied by his seldom-seen 26-year-old granddaughter, Isabella Smith.

Smith, wearing a black-and-white checked two-piece under a black blazer, looked the spitting image of her late mother, Charlotte Brosnan, who passed away in 2013 after a battle with ovarian cancer.

She is Pierce Brosnan's granddaughter by adoption

Isabella Smith was born to Charlotte and Alex Smith in August 1998.

Her mother was the daughter of Brosnan's first wife, Cassandra, from her previous marriage to Dermot Harris, brother of actor Richard.

After Dermot passed away in 1986, the then future James Bond adopted Charlotte and younger brother Christopher.

Charlotte greeted Isabella and her younger brother, Lucas, along with his partner, Alex Smith. Charlotte married Smith in 2013; however, she tragically succumbed to cancer shortly afterward and passed away only weeks following their wedding. She was 41 years old.

Her grandmother likewise died from cancer.

Smith's grandmother, Cassandra, who was present when Brosnan celebrated the birth of his son Sean, passed away due to ovarian cancer in 1991.

In 2014, during the Stand Up to Cancer television special, Brosnan delivered a poignant speech about losing his wife and daughter, stating: "Seeing someone you cherish gradually consumed by such a destructive illness imprints their suffering deeply into your mind."

"He recounted holding the kind, robust, and lovely hand of his first wife, Cassie, whose life was cut short far too early by ovarian cancer," he stated.

Only last year did I hold my dear daughter Charlotte’s hand as she also succumbed to the same relentless, hereditary illness.

Brosnan, now 71, wed Keely Shaye Smith In 2001, they became parents of two boys named Paris and Dylan.

She stays away from public attention.

Since her mother's death, Smith has kept a strong bond with her father Alex, according to the Daily Mail.

Even though her renowned grandfather had a prominent career and her mother briefly ventured into acting, Smith has mostly stayed away from the limelight.
