No Active Talks for De Bruyne as Chicago Fire Makes an Offer: Report

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has shed light on the circumstances regarding Manchester City's midfield player Kevin De Bruyne, asserting that at present, there aren’t any ongoing talks between De Bruyne and various teams who have been rumored to be interested in the Belgian player.

Romano stated on Saturday through his post on X that the Italian club Como "has not attempted to sign Kevin De Bruyne," contradicting recent claims to the contrary.

He also downplayed the rumors connecting De Bruyne to a possible return to Chelsea or a transfer to MLS team Inter Miami, stating that "there is no confirmation of talks" with either club.

Romano disclosed that a proposition from MLS team Chicago Fire, initially reported two weeks back, "is still available" for De Bruyne as talks about his upcoming season proceed.

Earlier this month, De Bruyne stated that he plans to depart from Manchester City once the present season concludes, marking the conclusion of his ten-year tenure with the team during which he has claimed all significant titles.

On Friday, through a public message posted on his social media platforms, the Belgian midfield player announced that he will be concluding his time at Etihad Stadium in the coming months. He said, "There’s nothing simple about putting this into words, yet as professional soccer players, we understand that one day our career with a club ends. For me, that day has arrived—so I want to share this news directly with you before anyone else does."

Looking back at his tenure in Manchester, De Bruyne acknowledged the significant impact of both the city and its inhabitants on reshaping his life.
