LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — A federal grand jury has charged a man for allegedly setting multiple Tesla vehicles ablaze last month.
Paul Kim, 36, was arrested a week after police say he was caught on camera setting fires at a Tesla Collision near Jones and Badura. An investigation revealed that Kim had multiple Molotov cocktails and a .30 caliber AR-style firearm on his person during the attack.
Kim was allegedly spotted spraying "RESIST" on the facade of the building as well.
On Wednesday, a grand jury handed down two charges of arson, attempted arson, and unlawful possession of a firearm. From here, Kim will waive his preliminary hearing, but it is currently unclear when he will next face a federal judge.
Kim is scheduled to appear before a Las Vegas judge in August to address the state charges against him. Currently, he faces 15 accusations, encompassing offenses like arson and vandalism, with ten of these being felony charges.
