
RESTON, Va. ( DC News Now — A technician working for the German military received a sentence this Wednesday for downloading child sexual abuse material (CSAM) when they were posted in Northern Virginia.
Peter Markus Kuttke, aged 49, admitted guilt for receiving child sexual abuse material on January 8th.
Kuttke was a German citizen residing in Reston when federal agents conducted a search of his home on December 1, 2023. He was employed at the time as an IT professional for the German military’s presence in Northern Virginia, USA.
Federal authorities discovered multiple electronic devices containing a large number of CSAM videos and images, as stated in the report. U.S. Attorney’s Office (USA) He had obtained CSAM from BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file-sharing platform.
A significant number of these videos featured adults engaging in sexual abuse against children who had not yet reached puberty.
As stated in legal papers, Kuttke had stored more than 200 video files and over 300 image files containing child pornography on his computer.
On April 10, he was ordered to serve a six-and-a half-year sentence in prison for downloading child sexual abuse material.
