Governor Ron DeSantis has announced today the appointments of Thomas Hurley and Robert Spottswood Jr., as well as the reappointment of Charlette Roman, to serve at the South Florida Water Management District.
Thomas Hurley:
· Hurley serves as both the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Becker Holding Corporation.
· He actively participates in his community through membership in the Young Presidents Organization and has formerly been associated with the Boys andGirls Club of Martin County as well as the Miami branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
· Hurley has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Duke University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University.

Robert Spottswood Jr.:
• Spottswood serves as the President of Spottswood Companies, Inc., Spottswood Management, and Keystar Construction.
・He is also a Partner at Spottswood & Sterling, PPLC.
・His current community involvement includes serving as a member of the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council and as a board member of the Nature Conservancy and the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida.
· Spottswood obtained his undergraduate degree in food and resource economics from the University of Florida, followed by a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University.

These confirmations must be approved by the Florida Senate.
