You could scarcely make it out over the deafening cheers from the studio crowd, but it was the K-pop boy band ENHYPEN indeed made their first appearance on U.S. television during last Thursday's (April 10) show Jimmy Kimmel Live! Clad informally in torn jeans and tees, HEESUNG, JAY, JAKE, SUNGHOON, SUNOO, JUNGWON, and NI-KI started with a linear arrangement before unleashing their bone-chilling, impeccable dance routine.
They started off with hearts pounding so fiercely, struggling to stay calm. Was I being overly patient? The heat was intense; sweat poured down as they moved. When they reached theMotown-inspired Pharrell-style high-pitched chorus— 'Loose/I’ve been looking forward to being close to you/I know you desire this just as much' —each pop, lock, and pelvic tilt drew louder, more raspy shouts from the audience.
The show concluded gracefully as all seven performers leaned on one arm each across the stage, then sprung back up for a meticulously coordinated finale routine followed by holding a rigid formation to bask in the audience’s applause.
