“It was challenging to manage everything, but it turned out quite effective, and I emerged victorious in the match, which I contested just a month before the state meet,” Solorio stated. “I plan to hang up the gloves and switch to wearing running shoes, dedicating myself to many more wrestling practice sessions and focusing intensively on wrestling.”

Solario excels in takedowns and wrestling on the mat—crucial abilities that enabled him to secure second place at the Class 1A regional competition and earn his spot as the sole Rutherford wrestler to advance to the state championship.
