NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH ) — The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is seeking public input on which regulations should be revised or eliminated.
The FCC oversees media outlets, telecom businesses, and local TV stations such as WTNH.
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr wants the public to weigh in as part of the “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative, which aims to streamline the FCC’s rules.
For far too long, administrative bodies have imposed additional regulatory measures beyond what they were authorized to do or maintained valid regulations well past when they became obsolete," Carr stated. "... The FCC is dedicated to eliminating all rules and regulations that are now unnecessary. We also encourage active public involvement and input during this entire procedure.
The FCC is accepting comments from the public through April 14. If you want to learn more about the FCC’s “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative and make your voice heard, visit this website .
