STONINGTON, Conn. (WWLP) — On Thursday, a man from Massachusetts was apprehended in Rhode Island following an alleged bank heist in Connecticut that occurred on Wednesday.
The Stonington Police Department reports that a 57-year-old individual is involved. Wilfredo Alarcon On Wednesday, the Dorchester gang reportedly targeted the Citizens Bank branch situated at 23 Broadway Avenue in Mystic. According to reports, an individual wearing a mask went into the bank and instructed all present to get down on the floor before robbing the cashier at gunpoint. Fortunately, nobody sustained injuries during this incident.
Alarcon was found and apprehended in East Greenwich, Rhode Island on the same day. He has since been returned to Connecticut where he faces charges including first-degree robbery, committing a Class S or B felony involving a firearm, third-degree theft, reckless endangerment, unlawful confinement, criminal possession of a weapon, and making threats in the first degree, as reported by WTNH.
