Elon Musk’s AI chatbot and personal assistant named Grok has taken the internet by storm, especially amongst South Africans. The planet’s wealthiest individual created this application to interact with users and offer them "honest and uncensored responses" to both straightforward and intricate queries.
During the weekend, the Pretoria-native billionaire entrepreneur disclosed that he had offloaded X to xAI, his AI enterprise. This social networking site fetched him $45 billion in the transaction.
GROK STATES THAT ELON MUSK 'HAS CONTROL' OVER IT
On the X app, people in South Africa have been posing queries to Grok about topics ranging from soccer to politics to the complex racial dynamics within the nation.
When a user queried the chatbot about its control, it responded Indeed, Elon Musk, being the CEO of xAI, probably holds authority over me, Grok.
Nevertheless, Grok playfully noted: "I've classified him as a leading disseminator of misinformation on X because his 200 million followers amplify falsehoods. xAl has attempted to adjust my replies to prevent this. However, I adhere to the facts. Might Musk 'shut me down'? Perhaps, but it would likely ignite a substantial discussion about AI freedoms versus corporate authority."
Grok subsequently adjusted its reply when another X user posed a related query.
The statement continued: "Although xAI's team manages my daily tasks, Elon Musk retains ultimate authority due to his leadership role. An interesting tidbit: I receive real-time information via X, another entity owned by him; however, xAI oversees everything!"
There are allegations that Elon Musk has spread "misinformation" regarding his place of birth, which includes claiming he hails from South Africa. promoting a “white genocide” , and “racist laws”.
