BMW Korea (CEO Han Sang-yoon) plans to officially introduce its luxury all-electric Gran Coupe, the "New i4 eDrive40," in South Korea.

The BMW i4 stands out as the inaugural mid-size all-electric Gran Coupe from a luxury automaker, combining distinctive dynamic handling with an elegantly modern four-door coupe styling and spaciousness ideal for lengthy journeys. This recently updated version introduces refined interior and exterior designs, infusing more athletic flair and opulent refinement while boosting overall usability.

The new BMW i4 will debut in South Korea with two versions: the i4 eDrive40 M Sport and the i4 eDrive40 M Sport Pro.

The leading edge of the New i4 eDrive40 features adaptive LED headlamps incorporating distinctive vertical daytime running lights, complemented by a modern BMW kidney grille adorned with a striking diamond-pattern mesh. This design is further enhanced by vertical air intakes located on either side of the front bumper, which contribute to an assertive appearance. At the rear, the model boasts eye-catching laser taillights known for their intricate and multi-dimensional designs, adding to its dynamic appeal.

The inside boasts a lavish ambiance through the inclusion of a D-cut style M leather steering wheel and illuminated vents featuring soft, indirect lighting.

Enhanced Digital Interaction with BMW Operating System 8.5

The updated i4 eDrive40 features BMW Operating System 8.5, enhancing the overall digital experience through greater intuitiveness and convenience. This system includes ‘Quick Select,’ enabling direct access to preferred functionalities without navigating through multiple menus. Frequently utilized options can also be set up along the bottom of the interface for quick access via customizable menu bars. Moreover, horizontal and vertical swiping within live widgets simplifies navigation and helps easily locate specific sections.

Powertrain featuring robust driving capabilities and exceptional fuel economy.

The new i4 eDrive40 features BMW’s fifth-generation electric powertrain technology, offering impressive performance alongside outstanding efficiency. This model delivers up to 340 horsepower and a peak torque of 43.8 kg·m via a lone electric motor positioned at the rear axle, achieving acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds.

The overall expense amounts to 4.5 kilowatt-hours per kilometer according to the facility specifications, with a range of 420 kilometers from a single charge. This figure is derived from an 84-kilowatt-hour high-voltage battery pack. Additionally, rapid charging can boost the battery level from 10% to approximately 20% within half an hour.

Brand-leading advanced driver assistance

The new i4 eDrive40 comes equipped with the Driving Assistant Professional, which represents the pinnacle of the company’s advanced driver-assistance technology. This suite includes adaptive cruise control capable of stopping and starting automatically, as well as forward and rearward monitoring and collision warning systems designed to identify pedestrians and cyclists. Additionally, it features lane-keeping assist and steering support functionalities.

For parking assistance, the basic version comes with the New i4 eDrive40 M Sport model, whereas the enhanced feature set is available on the higher-end New i4 eDrive40 M Sport Pro variant. The base configuration offers both parking assist and rearview assist functions. In contrast, the upgraded package adds panoramic view options along with three-dimensional perspectives enabling full visibility of up to 360 degrees surrounding the car.
