"We feel confident that this vehicle will perfectly suit its market niche once we can clearly differentiate between both models and present a genuine futuristic concept for Porsche.
Doctor Blume's statement suggests that Porsche will keep two models in this category.
The gasoline-driven Macan began production in 2014, whereas the electric version of the Macan — based on an entirely new architecture — will start production ten years after the initial model.
