Isaac Mutuma is poised to assume control of the county’s governance from her previous supervisor, Governor Kawira Mwangaza, after the High Court in Nairobi validated her impeachment.

A public notification issued on Friday, March 14, stated that Mutuma, who previously acted as Mwangaza’s deputy, will be sworn in to officially take over the responsibilities of the governor position.

The general public is hereby informed that the inauguration of Isaac Mutuma M'Ethingia as the Governor of Meru County will occur on Monday, March 17, 2025, beginning at 8:30 am at Mwendentu Grounds," stated the announcement released by Martin Gitije, who serves as the chairman of the Committee for the Assumption of the Office of Governor.
