
New Delhi [India], March 15 (ANI): The Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta On Saturday, she participated in an Iftar event hosted at the India Islamic Cultural Centre, emphasizing the significance of social cohesion and national unity.
At the Iftar celebration, the Chief Minister stated Rekha Gupta He stated, "The nation ought to progress with social cohesion... As the world’s biggest democracy, we must all advance together through peace and social harmony."
The event was presided over by Kausar Jahan, the Chairperson of the Delhi State Haj Committee, who emphasized the importance of individuals from various walks of life uniting for this occasion.
"CM Rekha Gupta Will attend the Iftar gathering today. Numerous people will also join this Iftar event shortly following Holi, including the Chief Minister. Rekha Gupta , signifies that our nation is bound together by a beautiful thread of love and harmony. Both Holi and Friday prayers concluded peacefully yesterday,” she informed the press.
When she reached the India Islamic Cultural Center, the Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was spotted embracing members of the Delhi State Haj Committee alongside Kausar Jahan at an 'Iftar Party' event.
Several other ministers were present at the occasion as well. Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht was among those who participated in the event and remarked, "Holi along with the month of Ramzan fosters unity and amity."
Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta praised the initiative and stated, "This is a joyous moment as the head of our health committee has hosted an Iftar gathering here. This assembly serves as a model for how the administration will collaboratively operate in Delhi with noble intentions."
Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister for Minority Affairs, was present at the event as well, offering his sincere greetings.
"The Ramzan season is underway, with Iftaar celebrations taking place all around us. Currently, we find ourselves at an event hosted by the chairman of the Delhi Haj Committee, Kausar Jahan. He urged everyone to come together and share joyous moments," he stated to journalists.
The holiest month in the Islamic calendar, Ramzan occurs during the ninth month according to the Hijri (Islamic lunar calendar). Throughout this sacred time, Muslims engage in fasting from early morning till dusk, known as Roza—a key pillar of Islam emphasizing dedication, restraint, and spiritual reflection. (ANI)
