Chelsea are said to have finalized the acquisition of Portuguese midfielder Dario Essugo from Sporting CP for a sum of €22 million.
According to a post by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Saturday via X, the 20-year-old has undergone his medical and will officially join the Blues this summer as part of the first-team squad.
Essugo is poised to ink a seven-year deal with Chelsea, solidifying the club's long-term strategy as part of their ongoing initiative at Stamford Bridge.
In the meantime, another talented player from Sporting, Geovany Quenda, is set to join Chelsea in 2026 following the agreement of a €48 million transfer deal.
Romano stated, "Dario Essugo heading to Chelsea, let's make it happen! An agreement has been reached with Sporting, and the medical check is complete."
